Emerging leaders development is one of our objectives, and no partner has helped us pursue it more steadily than Kibur College.
How it started
Our partnership began in 2021. By November 2022 we could write that Kibur College and Team Paragon had been empowering and equipping hundreds of youth in leadership skill. That month we completed the fifth and sixth rounds of our five-day training, and both sides agreed to keep going.
We wrote it in Amharic too, and the line says it best: a country is built by equipping its young people as well.
A summer bootcamp
In August 2023 we facilitated a one-week summer leadership bootcamp at the college. Its aim was practical: communication, problem-solving and teamwork, the skills that let a young person lead a group before they ever hold a title.
Two weeks, more than two hundred
In September 2024 we completed a two-week leadership skills program for over 200 participants, organized with Kibur College. Its focus was on cultivating emerging leaders who are disciplined and purposeful in what they go on to do.
Why we keep coming back
Training young people once is useful. Training them year after year, with the same partner, builds something bigger: a pipeline of graduates who have practised leading before they start working. That is what our founder meant when he wrote, in 2020, my work is raising new generation.
We are grateful to Kibur College for its trust, round after round.
